Designkitchen/Blast Radius, a digital branding and marketing agency, services HP’s social channels. I worked on a lean creative production team concepting and creating short-form videos and static posts for HP’s Always On social campaign.
ROLE: Producer, Video Editor
The Sight of Sound video presents the HP Spectre x360 laptop in a dynamic and eye-catching fashion. To achieve this, we shot a Chladni Plate – a vibrating plate that creates symmetrical patterns out of sand, controlled by inputting different frequencies of sound. In addition to producing and editing the video, I mapped out the frequencies used to capture the desired choreography of the sand on camera.
ROLE: Producer
After Sight of Sound showed off the beauty of the Spectre x360, HP wanted to spotlight just how light the laptop is. The Light as Air series was created to portray a sense of weightlessness.
With an invisible suspension rig, the laptop was shot against a black backdrop to align with the brand’s established look and feel for the product. I produced and assisted on the shoot.
ROLE: Producer, Photo Stylist
During HP’s back-to-school social campaign, we were asked to highlight the Pavilion x360 in a way that showcased how seamlessly it fits with student life. We took a whimsical approach with the subjects of art and science by combining static and motion for a Wes Anderson-style flat lay. In addition to producing both shoots, I assisted in the art directing and shooting the flat lays.
ROLE: Producer, Video Editor
For this project, we were inspired by the work of Eadweard Muybridge to showcase the rotation functionality of the Pavillion x360. In the video we deconstructed a 360° flip motion to playfully mimic the 360° rotation of the laptop. I produced the video, assisted with on-set shooting at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, and edited the video in post-production.
